Doubters ask  questions believers have answered  – unsatisfactorily.

Doubt is good; it is the switchbacking path toward knowing things.

The tenacious doubter is a fanatical believer — in doubt.

Our doubts are our friends; they take us gently by the arm and steer us away from lies.

God must love doubt; it is an indication that what he created has finally begun to think up to its potential.

We who love science love doubt, for by means of it we discard unproven theories and adopt more accurate ones.

First doubt everything; this is the only way to begin to develop confidence in finally knowing anything.

Doubt is always present in faith, because faith believes in the presence of doubt

The big questions of life are never completely answered; among good thinkers there is  always  room for more fun discussions.

Every time we open a door, we exercise the faith that it will open; and every time we close a door behind us and lock it, we traffic in a nagging doubt that it will stay closed to the thief when night falls.

Doubt everything and you doubt your own doubts about the validity of your doubt.

Doubt can lead to tears – tears of joy over discovering  brothers who also doubt.

Doubts contain grief over what has been lost by doubt.

Doubt has its limits; it can lead us to  the false belief that what is true, isn’t.
